The shape of this roof panel adds the appealing diagonal lines to the roof. Where the diagonal lines meet, an X appears, hence the name of the roof.

Calculate the price of your roof by entering the total number of square metres of it and the desired output in watts.

The output in watts must be approximately equal to 50-70% of the total kWh consumption per year. Example: If you consume 10,000 kWh of electricity per year, you should designate the output as 5000-7000 watts (5-7 kW of photovoltaic module output) and choose a number on the low side if you have a house that is heated by electricity – this is because you consume more non-solar generated electricity over the course of a year. You should choose an estimate on the high side if you use another source of heating or if you have an electric car and/or a battery solution attached to your house.

1000 watts results in 800-950 kWh per year, depending on the orientation and slope of the roof.

The whole roof (without installation) will normally be paid for by the photovoltaic module’s production of electricity in 18-22 years, and the photovoltaic modules themselves will be paid for in 4.7 – 10.5 years. This all depends on the country you are in, the price of electricity, etc.

There is no visible difference between the roof panels with photovoltaic modules and those without. The roof panels are connected to each other, so there is no need to do a lot of preparatory electrical installation work.
